The Department of the Interior, National Business Center’s Acquisition Services Directorate would like to remind our customers that the end of Fiscal Year 2010 is fast approaching. The last date for making contract awards for Fiscal Year 2010 is September 30, 2010. All contract awards and modifications must be complete by this date.

Social services firm Ceridian has won a five-year, $477 million contract to continue to provide counseling and referral services to military service members and their families.
Ceridian was one of three bidders for the new Military OneSource contract. Ceridian was awarded the contract Nov. 24 following a competition that kicked off in August 2008.

The Pentagon hires other agencies to award commercial services contracts on its behalf. That business makes up roughly 1 percent of the Defense Department's procurement budget — or about $4 billion. Now the department says it plans to handle those procurements much differently.

The last date for making contract awards for FY09 is September 21, 2009. All awards and modifications must be completed by this date and entered into our system no later than September 21, 2009.
